Does S4 work for S2 Software?

I have a Traktor s2 controller which isnt working at the minute - my friend had a s4 but it wont connect to my software?

Is there a way around this?

    What traktor Software are you using? And what s4 exactly?

    @Heisenberg @lord-carlos i am using a mac and have traktor pro 4.

    I think its the s4 MK2.

    @Heisenberg Thanks for this - so if it is S4 MK1 it just cant be used with anything newer than OS 10.15?

    Is there any way around this?

    If it's not on the list then unfortunately not.

    You need either a compatible Mac OS or a Windows device where everything works smoothly.

    If it's the mk2 it should work. Might need to install a driver, I can't remember.

    Mk1 will not work on modern mac os, should work on windows.
