Yes, ThinkPads from 8th Gen onwards are compatible with Windows 11.

For Apple, I would look for an M1 CPU upward and make sure that it has at least 16 GB of RAM, because the devices are expensive and there is no way to upgrade them.

"affordable" is a variable scale … do you have a hard upper limit to spend?

For me, I use a MacBook Pro 2020 13", last of the Intel models with i7 quad 2.3GHz, 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD, and it performs great. When I was looking to upgrade (for whatever reason) and thought about selling it, I checked eBay here in Australia and they're going for under AU$1000 (about US$670) … elsewhere in the world you might pick one up cheaper again!

Windows land … I have a Dell Latitude 7310 (i7-10610 quad 1.6GHz, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD) that I've used as a backup laptop (yeah, I left my MacBook at home lol) and it worked fine … set buffers a little higher (48k/512 from memory, I use 96k/256 on my MacBook) and no issues with DJM-900NXS2 and 3xCDJ-2000NXS2.

    Currently on eBay they're around AU$450 (US$300) …

You certainly don't need the latest and greatest to run Traktor, I would however try and stick with Windows 10 and there are some ways to remove the bloat so you have less DPC issues, plenty of tutorials out there and LatencyMon is a great tool to help work through this.
