Native access is not recognising my email or password, when asked to reset my password; I do not get the notification.
I've to log on the website and it states that my account does not exist
Hey Kenny, please use this typeform to get in touch:
https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000427858-Account-Login-Password-Support-WIZARD
Then let me know when you were able to submit a request.
Just a heads up: Your account surely wasn't "hacked". Someone knew or has guessed your password. Probably a very weak password.
@kennythompson So it turned out you had another account, so no hacked account, please next time, before posting something like this, please check everything on your end first and then and when you contact our support please provide as much information as possible. Case closed!
I know Jeremy I found out during the live chat today ๐คฃ
Thank you all for your advice and help ๐๐ป
PoorFellow already updated NA as I had to start a new account to get through to support.
Under advice I tried to log into my other account I did not know I had.
Having spoken to Marcelio I was under the information given to myself. That my old account and I cannot get into it ๐
Cheers poor fellow๐๐ป
@kennythompson Please continue the conversation with my colleagues, they are the specialists, not us.
I also removed the picture you posted because it included your email address, it is never a good idea to post personal data, especially that you were concerned about being hacked. Keeping this kind of data private is the first step to avoid this kind of things.
I don't think 2FA replaces the need for secure passwords. Especially, it can be pretty annoying for those who use secure passwords which they don't use on other sites.
IF NI introduces 2FA, then, please, for the love of god, don't ask again and again and again for the 2FA code, but make sure that people who want to save the browser or computer only have to do it one time. There are sites where I have to fill in codes every freaking time I visit, although I say that the site should save this browser or computer, and it's SUPER annoying. There's really no need for Fort Knox security, when it's just the occasional person here and there who doesn't keep his login secure.
It may be optional but should definitely be offered in 2024.
Laziness should not take precedence over safety!
But saving a login with cookies or whatever would also be a solution so that it doesn't happen too often.
Sorry , but then as already instructed by Jeremy_NI you need supports help to gain access to the account so that you can use it and log into it in Native Access. Also if necessary then support can most likely help you unite accounts.
I have no idea what you think it has to do with "laziness".
