Komplete Kontrol is empty, not even User Interface is visible
Hi Guys,
i have an issues with Kontakt Kontrol:
I have installed all my available conpontens on my drive on a
MacBook Pro 2015 with Sonoma installed (yes, it is possbile!)
After all was ready, i launched Kontakt Kontrol, it scanned through all my components, but after it was ready, NOTHING, i means really nothing appears in the user Interface, not even the Main User Interface components.
i am a real bloody beginner with the Komplete workd and all its components, but i am sufficient in finding and fixing problems, but this seems to be a deeper issue….
There is another post about Kontak Kontrol being emtpy, bis this refers to no instruments showing up in Kontakt.
I tried various fixes as mentioned here in the community, but nothing works so far.
What is interesting however is that all the library items and Plugins are listed and apparently found by the App:
I would be grateful for any kind of help!
Best regards
Claas

Yes, this is the case, it is a 2015 MBP with Sonoma installed.
Traktor, Maschine 2 and the player versions of the NI environment do work perfectly. But the mentioned Apps do show a black screen.
The MBP has been updated with the OpenCore Legacy Installer and MacOS Sonoma.
Although Apple discontinued this model, there are valid ways to run this OS properly.
It is a straightforward procedure and works very well. But this seems not to be the case with some apps such as the ones we are talking about here.
After downgrading to Ventura i was able to make everything work, though i still have to check on the nitty gritty details.Best

I believe this is normal for KK v3.
I am running KK v2.9.6 - and while that version has a sidebar and filters (which I do not believe KKv3 does) - the rest of my UI is empty. It only comes alive when I load an instrument.
I have never set up KK v3 (yet) so I cannot confirm this 100%.
What happens when you click the "+" sign?

Nothing really happens though.
When using the Komplete A25 it does "somesthing", but i am flying blind here…
Since i do no know what is happening, there is no way to continue learning a workflow0 -
Hmm. Sorry I cannot be of more help. Hopefully someone on Mac who is using KK v3 will chime in.

I filed a ticket with NI to adress the issue, hopefully they are aware of the problem and provide a fix for it.
I cannot find any dokumentation about the new version of the Komplete Kontrol app though, any idea where to find it?

@Claashollwegs Have you tried to hit rescan? (on both screenshots)
Do all products show as installed in Native Access?
Can you open Kontakt? Are all your Kontakt libraries showing there?
If it's only an issue when in Komplete Kontrol you can also give this a try:
Reinitialize the Komplete Kontrol Database
- Note: The User Library folder is hidden. See this article for instructions to access hidden macOS folders.
- Search through the Native Instruments folder at this location to find the Komplete Kontrol folder.
- Note: Deleting other NI product folders could result in unexpected behavior with other applications.
- Reboot your computer and reopen the Komplete Kontrol software to check that the issue has been resolved.

yes, yes, yes and yes!
:)
I tried all the steps, but had no luck!
I was able to open a ticket with NI and as given an analysis tool that i will check out later today when i am back home.
It seems that we do have a compatibility issue with sonoma….
…burning am not sure, and i am not a developer, did QA for Adobe for 10
years though….

Good to know you got in touch with support, I'm sure they'll figure this out. No such bug has been reported so far on Sonoma.

Wasn't easy, but i started the chatbot and persisted to get an anwser.
So they filed a ticket through which i can communicate with then.
For some reason the Chatbot dissappeared….
:)Stay tuned!
Cheers

Now you're in contact with a specialist by email so no need to use the chat for this issue anymore.

Well my hope was/is that someone has experienced similiar problems and came up with a solution off the current flows…
I hope for the best!

Sure! This thread is still open and anyone can chime in. When you get to the bottom of the issue with my colleague, please update the thread so it can be helpful to others in the same boat!

Hi All,
i had a long thread with support, but evidently this cannot be solved.
The combination of Sonoma and KK as well as Kontak 8 does not work. So i now downgraded my maschine to Ventura and started from scratch. Accoding to my reseach the metal graphics have changed with Sonoma and there is no way to fix this.
I cannot see that much of a difference between Ventura and Sonoma, so i keep workin with the earlier version of the MacOS.
Thank you all for the support and advise.
See ya around!

@Claashollwegs After checking your support request, I see that the issue is also present in other plug-ins like Kontakt 7, is it the same problem with Guitar Rig 6 and 7?
Sorry that it happens that late in the story but I think I'm starting to connect the dots on this one. I suspected something related to the database but it could just be a graphic issue.
I saw that in your original post:
I have installed all my available conpontens on my drive on a MacBook Pro 2015 with Sonoma installed (yes, it is possbile!)
Is Sonoma officially supported for your Mac? How did you make it "work"?
We already had this issue of Kontakt or Guitar Rig 6/7 where users had a non officially supported OS on their old Macs. This would result in a black screen for Kontakt 7/8, Guitar Rig. Unfortunately no workaround for this scenario.
