Freak crash any Daw, or nano host, is not loaded in Maschine or Komplete Kontrol.
anybody checked it before publishing?
For similar issues we recommend the following:
1. Run the System File Integrity Checker

2. Run DISM
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/947821/fix-windows-update-errors-by-using-the-dism-or-system-update-readiness
3. Make sure all of the latest Windows Updates are installed by running this mini tool:

4. Make sure all the Redistributable packages are installed and not corrupted by running this mini tool:
If this doesn't work, next step would be a Windows reinstall.
@Jeremy_NI do you have any insights on this?
Hey @bob I checked Freak's demo on a Windows 10 laptop. Everything works, I can load the VST and VST3 plug-in in Ableton, Cubase and FL Studio, in Komplete Kontrol and in Maschine 2. When installing the demo you can choose the VST directory, Maybe you chose a wrong path ? Also check that your Windows is up to date, that the drivers, especially the graphic card's driver, are up to date. All this was tested before publishing and I just checked again.
curiously it don't work on 1 pc, win 10 updated, c++ etc. all other FX are ok, dirt bite...etc but freak block on it.
i checked it on 2 other machine and all is ok. it only occur on 1 machine that refuse to load it,
i tested all, xml, ras3, app data residual, regedit. freak never play on this PC. i will make without. but i never found what is wrong.
the system integrity is ok
i also checked with a brand new windows 11 virtual on this machine.
with the same result, it seems linked to the CPU "AMD Phenom II"
even kontakt 6.8 beta show a black empty windows on it.
when all other NI stuff is working.
something is wrong and it is not windows related.
Hey @bob As you mentioned earlier, this only happens on one of your machines, I've put up a list of fixes, a Windows reinstall is usually the fastest and safest way to get rid of such issues.
