Battery crashes Komplete Kontrol - Every time.. (KBDSW-7913)

Unfortunately there is no fix at the moment. Downgrading Komplete Kontrol is not possible if you have a MK3 keyboard. Unfortunately the workaround at the moment would be to use Battery 4 as a plug-in on it's own. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Have you made sure that ALL NI apps including NTKDaemon have full disk access. ? : How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS and disks must be of correct format : Notes on Network Drives and Disk Formats

Also , are this happening using standalone apps or when using in a DAW ?

Also , forgive me for my ignorance with respect to macOS 14.7 (23H124) and ARM-64, are you running anything in Rosetta or is it all running natively ?

Else i think that I will have to call for @Jeremy_NI to please take a look at this Mac program crashing.

Hey Jeremy,

I've been struggling with the Battery software crashing repeatedly. Can you share any updates on Native Instruments' plans to fix this? A clear timeline would really help manage expectations.

The bigger issue, though, seems to be how NI handles communication about such defects. Selling products that are known to be faulty not only looks bad but also strays into unethical territory.

It makes it appear as if the company doesn’t prioritize its customers’ satisfaction or ethical standards.

Could you also let us know what NI's policies are on refunds or replacements for faulty products? It's crucial for maintaining consumer trust that NI is proactive and transparent in its dealings.

Hey Colin, does this crash happen in Komplete Kontrol or just Battery 4? The bug mentioned in this thread is mostly an issue between Komplete Kontrol and Battery 4 that appeared only with version 3.3.3 of Komplete Kontrol. It's under investigation at the moment, the workaround is to use the Battery 4 plug-in on it's own.

You mention crashes with Battery 4 only so that could indicate it's another issue. Have you contacted our support about it? I don't think you posted about it either. Can you describe how the crashes occur and give more details on the issue you are experiencing?

Currently, KK still crashes when Battery is used and the KK plugin window is closed.

Komplete Kontrol 3.3.4. does not fix this issue, the fix will come in a Battery 4 update.
