Hi guys,

is it possible to use the S88 and the S49 in one project, so that I can switch between those two depending on whether I want to use the smaller or the larger keypad?

Thanks for your answers!

You didn't say if they were MK1, 2, or 3 keyboards, so I don't think anybody can give an answer without TLDRing the whole matter.

    True, especially the compability between S88 MK2 + S49 MK3 or S88 MK2 and S49 MK2 would be interesting for me.

Unfortunately this is not possible. The Komplete Kontrol or Kontakt (only for mk3 keyboards) plug-in can only recognise and connect to one device at a time, the other one would switch to MIDI mode.

Yes I can, doesn't matter, it is not possible now, has never been possible in the past, to use more than a single KK keyboard in a project.

Well, it "is possible" in regards to one can be a basic MIDI keyboard however you can't choose which is the MIDI and which is the Intelligent keyboard, it is whichever is in the list of devices first gets the intelligent functionality and you cannot change this. It simply creates issues in most DAWs if you have 2 connected.

It's been requested to have some kind of either parallel operation, assignment option to set a keyboard to a specific instance or just a switch to allow switching of the browser / control between one keyboard and the other being MIDI but it's never been entertained as being considered in 10 years, can't imagine that would change now, user considerations have never been a strong point of this product.
