As far as I know, it is not compatible.

V2.9.4 is the last version that I understand to be compatible with MK1 generation keyboards.

For sure 3.x version of KK SW is not compatible with Komplete Kontrol S-xx MK1 keyboards. Those are compatible with 2.x KK SW.

It should connect, I'm just not sure how much functionality beyond just playing libraries would be supported.

I believe that you can use it with MK1 keyboards BUT the keyboard will have NO NKS or LightGuide functionality whatsoever - it will be a pure MIDI controller keyboard…

It is not supported in any capacity.

As @Hywel notes - you can install it for sure - but the MKI has no idea it is there and cannot talk to it.
