Minimalist DJ Setup with X1 MK3
Hello all,
I have just purchased a second hand X1 MK3 and wanted to prepare a minimalist setup for house parties/set preparations. I have both an iPad pro and a MacBook Pro, but I would rather prefer to sue the iPad (portability is slightly easier). I thought about these two options including a Komplete Audio 1 as interface, but wanted to check whether anybody had already tried them/Knows if it works. I am including a scheme of the two options:

I'm not aware of any iPad app that supports the x1 mk3.
If iOS is a priority, take a look at the Djay pro app with Reloop Mixtour Pro hardware.
Komplete audio 1 is just 2 channels, you want 4. Stereo master and cue.
If mono is fine for you, you could use the Traktor DJ Cable:
Might even be possible to plug that directly into your MacBook. Do they still have 3.5mm jack?1 -
That's two IN (mono) and two OUT (mono).

Sure, if you want to use Rekordbox or are prepared to fiddle with 3rd party mappings, the flx4 is a decent little unit.

Reloop Mixtour Pro was in the fold of the options, but I reckon the price is a little bit too steep for the rendition. So if Audio 1 is not a viable choice would Audio 2 be a suitable one?

No. It's still only a 2 channel device.
You need one with 4 channels.
I see the Reloop Mixtour non pro version being sold for ~130 EUR used. But keep in mind that the Djay Pro app requires a subscription.

I thought the audio 2 was 4 channels, as displayed on Amazon:

I have a DJ Pro subscription, and looks like mapping can be easy. Although I am realising that a Mixtour Pro in the end may be a better choice in terms of add ons necessary

If you already have Djay pro, just take a look at the iOS device list:
For example a Traktor Kontrol S2 MK3 is also somewhat small'ish and would work out of the box with both Traktor and Djay iOS.

I guess at this stage, with the s1mk3+necessary interfaces and wirings, it looks like the DDJ FLX4 is the best value for money option
