Will Traktor support macOS Sequoia's new local network permission?

Local network is necessary to use Traktor broadcasting with Now Playing, but Traktor's broadcasting feature is so ancient that it seems long-forgotten.

Is there any chance Traktor will implement Apple's new local network permission?

There is no reason why it can’t, you should get asked to grant access when you first load Traktor, then it’s added to the Local Network allowed list within Privacy and Security.

You can always go and add it manually if you need to later.

Local Network is a new Apple API that was introduced this summer (2024). This means that it's unlikely that Traktor has updated this setting, particularly since macOS 15 is "not supported" at the moment.

The point is moot. I forgot that Beatport Link DJs will need that access, so I know it will be solved. I just hope I don't have to sign up for Link just to get the pop-up.

I am fully aware of what it is and what should happen. Opening an application for the first time should trigger it, like when an app asks for permission to access your downloads folder etc … this has been around in iOS since iOS 14 so nothing new here, it's just moving over to macOS.
