traktor pro 4 - stem separation
Hello, just updated to pro 4 and have a few questions.
Are you able to do multiple stem separations at once or does it use to much processing power to do so? Can you map keys on your laptop to instantly take out all instruments together and vice versa for just the vocal?
Used this for a gig on Friday. 5 hours and no major issues. However, I did incur some consistent lag/delay when scrolling through playlists/loading into a deck and waveform ever so slightly skipping when track was playing. I have imported my settings from pro 3 and was wondering if there was any settings I should be changing? pro 3 ran smooth as anything. I run Traktor only when djing, wifi turned off etc.
my audio is currently set at 48000hz and 512 buffer size.
using a MacBook Pro 2018
quad core i5
8gb ram
512 ssd with about 150gb used.

Hey!
I recently upgraded to Traktor Pro 4 too, and I understand your concerns. You can separate multiple stems, but it can be demanding on your CPU, so I’d recommend starting with one or two at a time to see how your MacBook handles it.
You can definitely map keys to mute all instruments or isolate vocals. Just go to Preferences > Controller Manager to set that up.
For the lag, try increasing your buffer to 1024. This might help, but it could introduce a slight delay, so see what works best for you. Rebuilding your playlists and turning off high-res waveforms can also help with performance.
Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes!
