Komplete Audio 6 MK1 Issues after Reboot or Sleep

I've had this soundcard some years now and it occasionally did this but it seems to do it even more now I have built a new PC even though it is running Windows 11 same as my old one.

After being in sleep mode or shutting down the computer the soundcard will not work even though it is still connected to my computer . The soundcard is still connected as I have to eject it from the 'eject media' setting in the OS then unplug the soundcard and plug it back in again. This is with Windows 11 but it has done it with Windows 8 and 10 in the past.

I have tried turning 'selective suspend off' in the power settings , but it makes no difference. I've noticed in the Driver properties it says that it needs further installation , but I have removed it and installed it again and it is still the same .

I know this is an old soundcard but I'm sure plenty of people still use it.

    Hey there!

I've had similar issues with the Komplete Audio 6. Here are a few things you can try that might help:

First, ensure that you have the latest drivers installed. Sometimes, even after reinstalling, older drivers can cause conflicts. You can download the latest drivers from the Native Instruments website.

Since you mentioned that the driver properties indicate it needs further installation, try the following:

    1. Uninstall the Audio Device: Go to Device Manager, find Komplete Audio 6, right-click, and choose Uninstall device. If prompted, check the option to delete the driver software.
    2. Restart Your PC: After uninstalling, restart your computer. Windows should automatically reinstall the default drivers upon startup.
    3. Check USB Ports: Sometimes, using a different USB port can resolve connection issues, especially if the sound card is older. If you have USB 3.0 ports, try switching to a USB 2.0 port, as compatibility can vary.
    4. Power Management Settings: Since you’ve already turned off selective suspend, check the USB Root Hub properties in Device Manager. Under the Power Management tab, ensure the option “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power” is unchecked.

If these steps don’t resolve the issue, it may be worth contacting Native Instruments support for further assistance. They might have specific insights for older hardware.

I really hope this helps! If you find it useful, please feel free to give it a like!

Thanks I have tried number 4 and it seems Ok for now. The problem is it does it at complete random , not every time I reboot or put it in Sleep mode. I'll have to wait and see ☺️
