Traktor Pro 4 and Pioneer XDJ-XZ

Hello all,

I've been looking for info in regards of using a XDJ-XZ with Traktor Pro DVS Kontrol Vinyl, and if a external audio interface is needed or not.

I've tried Rekordbox DVS in the past, but that required an interface. There aren't many google search results on this topic, and Gemini/ChatGPT say contradicting thing: I could use the internal soundcard of the XZ, and asking again it says I can't.

So, would I need to hook up an external audio interface between my XZ and my MacBook, or would XZ USB→Macbook be sufficient? (I highly doubt the USB connection is sufficient).

Thanks!

Traktor does not care where the audio for the control vinyl comes from. So you could use any audio interface with a phono in.

But some Pioneer mixers block the phono signal from other DJ software. (For example the DJM 250 mk2?)

If that is the case with the XDJ-XZ I don't know. If you have the XDJ and you have a turntable .. just give it a try?
