I like the new concept of the latest update. However keen to understand the difference between the two. Currently have full version of 7. Can I use the player only or am I gaining more via the paid for upgrade?
Exactly.
K8 is very new and will be shaky most likely through the rest of 2024.
Where as K7 is very stable, very mature and I did hear is getting another fresh update here in the coming weeks.
Best to focus on that until K8 gains stability and some real road miles.

The only areas that you gain when buying Full are the ability to design/build/edit Kontakt instruments AND/OR you have any paid Kontakt libraries that are not supported by Player. And they are out there.
If none of the above really applies and you figure these never will - you may just be able to rock on with Player with no issues.
