It seems that it is only possible to reactivate the not wanted yearly plan while I want to subscribe the monthly plan (the highest tier)

native says this in the FAQ section:
Go to My Account, log in, and click on Subscription.
Click on the MANAGE MY SUBSCRIPTION tab.
Choose your plan and then click on the Change my Subscription option.

No it doesn't work. I can only reactivate the not wanted subscription. It is the only option I can choose and after that it goes straight to the pay option.
