macOS 15 Sequioa... Traktor Pro 4

I have been using the Traktor Pro software for over 15 years, and never in the history of Native Instruments has the company respected its community or listened to it. The software from Native Instruments has always lagged behind with updates, especially considering there are beta versions of operating systems, like macOS 15, and yet you still don't receive the necessary updates in time...THE ONLY THING NATIVE INSTRUMENTS WANTS... IS MONEY AND ONLY MONEY, without offering anything complete in return!!!

But they never forget to release those tired and forced software updates just to make some easy money. Shame on you, Native Instruments!!!

Kontakt 8 is compatible with macOS 15 Sequoia? I assume YES! But why isn’t Traktor Pro 4 compatible as well!?

DJ BIGICE you are exactly correct with what you say about NI. They updated to PRO 4 and asked for £64 for upgrades. They will quickly do this because they will be making money. To update their system compatibility with latest MacOS 15 system will not make them any money so they can take their own time. I am also like you, who have been using Traktor for over 15years now.

And Ican tell you NI do not give a monkey about their Traktor users complaints or concerns. Their products are good and competitive in the market. But users ditched them in their drove not because their systems and equipment are not good enough. No its their disdain to their users. Send a complaint to Serato,VDJ and Traktor on the same time and see who will be the last to response if at all you will get a proper response at all, is Traktor. I work with all of them. But I will honestly tell you, I will religiously love to use traktor but their attitude towards us the users beggars belief. Watch it, the first people who will sort out this compartibility issue will be VDJ, then Serato and last will be traktor. The first 2 companies are always on top of their game.

NI know that if you got their handware, you are condemned to wait for them because not until recently you couldn't use their hardwares with any other softwares. Okay VDJ has been for years not been able to sort this out and now Serato is compartible with the S2 MK3 and S3. maybe this will give them an awaking call. I just can't wait for Serato to be enabled with the S4 MK3.

Then traktor will be done with big time.

Both serato and rekordbox are still not compatible with macOS 15 Sequoia. This is normal when a new osx gets released. You guys are huffing and puffing, but both the software you comparing to have the exact same posts out warning against updating. Surely if you been using Traktor or any of the other dj software for as long as you claim you should know there will always be a delay when new osx get released. Been this way for years.

    🙈🤣

I'll do you one better - I had the first version of FS before it was even picked up by NI, every iteration since… and before that, the dark ages… only vinyl! ;0

    It does't matter, I just thought I'd share :)

The first lesson I learned about computer production and Dj'ing is this:

DONT UPDATE YOUR OPERATING SYSTEM ON YOUR MUSIC LAPTOP - until it's been out for at least 6-9 months and ALL of your software is verified compatible. Done.

Exactly! I’ve been on Traktor since the release of the Audio8DJ and first Traktor Scratch on a PowerBook G4 15” running Tiger 10.4 … so yeah, back in 2007 … and because that ran well I never updated the OS!

Eventually I updated to a MacBook (black … as in real black not today's fake black) with Intel processor but throughout the years I'm never running my live DJ MacBook on the newest macOS.

And to be honest, I'm happy for Apple to work out their issues FIRST … need I remind you of the horrendous Core Audio issues that plagued OS X 10.9 Mavericks, 10.10 Yosemite and 10.11 El Capitan … all solved on the same hardware by rolling back to OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion … eventually fixed in macOS 10.12 Sierra but Apple will never admit fault … but enough about OS issues, oh wait, Apple messed up networking in Sequoia already!

So to the OP @DJ BIGICE … why exactly are you updating your OS to Sequoia?

Kontakt 8 is not compatible. No NI product is compatible with Sequoia.

If/when they are - NI will say they are. Until then - running this OS and using any NI product with it - puts you instantly out of support and into an area you probably do not want to be in.

For best value - right now - with your NI stuff - you should be running Sonoma or Ventura

As a response to your question trying to prove something, in 2007 i was already 7 year user of Traktor From its first Final scratch phase then to Traktor Studio before it even became Traktor Pro.. so yeah , who knows?

As for being stupid, its more like be patient when new OSX come out, surely being on traktor sinvce 2007 as you say "YOU SHOULD KNOW THIS< DO NOT UPDATE RIGHT AWAY"

Not encouraging y'all to update, but I've been on macOS Sequoia since the first beta back in June, and I haven't had any issues with Native Instruments products at all. I'm on Traktor 4 with the S8, but I also use it occasionally with a few other controllers as well.
