Problem with volume settings using Kontakt with Studio One

Hi. I'm a newbee with Kontakt and I'm having a strange problem using Kontakt within Studio One. Whenever I load an instrument into a track in S1 the volume on the track automatically goes to -117.3 and then flips between 117.3 and 115.3 - continually. I cannot raise the volume on the slider - it keeps flipping back and forth between the above given values. This all happens even before I try to play anything on the track. Stand alone Kontakt works fine, it's only within S1 that this occurs. I have tried downgrading Kontakt but the problem persists. 3 days ago this was working fine and I made no changes except to add a few instruments to the library. When I shift between tracks the flipping goes to whatever track has focus. but it was unsuccessful.

I am using Studio One (6.6.2.100548), Windows 10, and currently Kontakt Player (7.6.0). Can anyone offer any suggestions? Thank you!

BTW - Since this is happens on brand new tracks in S1 there is no volume automation on the tracks.

FYI - So far - after running a "repair" on Kontakt the problem seems to have been fixed!
