Maschine+ User Samples Management

Hello everyone. I have a question about handling samples in the standalone Maschine or Maschine Plus.

I’m using a USB stick with samples on it, around 50 or 60 files. When I open the library, I get a list of all the possible samples.

However, I would like to have them organized so that, for example, I have a group of 10 samples in a separate folder, making it much easier to find the samples I want. Do you have any tips for that?

Thank you.

    Hi,

you can put the samples in separate folders. In your case make subfolders in the FUNRENTAL folder with the groups of samples.

When you import these samples in the library you should add each subfolder separately instead of the fun rental folder, so you can scroll through the different subfolders in the lobrary menu if this makes sence.

Bear in mind that you can't go too deep with folders. I believe two deep is the max that you can browse on the unit itself. Also you may find it useful to add tag data to the samples, because the Plus browser is tag based. Unfortunately you have to use the desktop software to add tags though.

Maybe a screenshot makes it more clear. You can see all these libraries are inside a folder called my instruments. When I import the myinstruments folder it shows all the samples in one list. When I import the folders one by one the sample are browsable in the different folders

Thank you for the helpful and quick responses. I will try it out right away. Period. Especially adding tags in the Maschine software on the computer.
