why does my traktor pro wont open and my traktor dj 2 doesnt recognise my controller?

ive installed all software from the native access, done everything "by the book", yet the softwares dont recognise my controller - allthough my pc does. what should i do?

That would be the s4 mk1, I'm not sure, but I think that one does not work on traktor dj 2.

As for Traktor Pro 2, you might have to downgrade to version 2.6.8. It looks like you have this issue:

Which s4? The original mk1? Or mk2?

You are able to install Traktor Pro 2, but can't open it? Do you get an error?

What OS are you using?

And the controller is a traktor s4- nothing else is written upon it ..

What happens when you try to open Traktor pro?

The jogwheels are black..

When I try to open the traktor pro it "thinks" for a moment but doesn't open..
