Tips
Really Simple…I check Native Access every Sunday Evening routinely for updates. This prevents updates building up over time & taking a while to download.

A good point. Maintenance is important!
My NA is usually always up and running.
When I know an update is coming (usually for KK), I'll check it on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Most updates come along on one of those days.
I'll also say that occasionally, NA itself will need to be updated.
And finally, I've been doing these things on a regular basis too:
About every other week, I will check for Windows updates. If there are some that require a reboot, I'll go check GeForce Experience for updates for my graphic cards. GPU updates no longer require reboots, but I've found that I have fewer issues if I just reboot after doing a GPU update.
So I'll do the Windows updates, the GPU update, and then finally, will immediately reboot. Some desktop UI interfaces (such as "Fences" by Stardock) will need a reboot after you do a graphic card update, so that all of your icons don't get mashed up onto one screen.
And at least once each month, I'll also reset my broadband modem/router while the PC is rebooting. That way, my IP addresses get all new assignments, and I tend to have far fewer network slowdowns, which used to impact all of my devices, even if it was mostly apparent with one particular computer or mobile device.
