I have the same problem today for Kontakt 7, Massive, and Massive X updates. I am certainly NOT running the latest version of Native Access because v3.x completely breaks my ability to use the presets I've purchased over the years from Freelance Sound Labs. Is there any way to get these updates to work again without upgrading to the latest version of Native Access?

And in fact if I update to the latest version of Native Access (3.16.0 it seems), I still can't apply updates available for Kontakt 7, Massive, and Massive X. Please help resolve this, NI.

Ok, this really starts to look like a DRM thing to me. Once I uninstalled the apparently non-functioning Native Instruments NTKDaemon service, my next attempt to run Native Access triggered an install. Which failed, of course. But at least after downloading a Microsoft tool to fix the broken NTKDaemon uninstall process and clean up the mess it left, I find Native Access can again apply updates. I have to say with the way NI has been making increasingly terrible products, I think I'm done buying their stuff unless they return to prior form.
