DJM 450 Timecode Vinyl not working with Traktor Pro 4?

Im trying to set up timecode vinyl with the DJM 450 in Traktor Pro 4. The Pioneer website states that its compatible, but I cant make it work…

I tried different timecode vinyls of NI, all the versions and firmwares are up to date.

Is it a problem with Traktor Pro 4 maybe? I cant find anything online to solve this problem :-( The timecode vinyl is working properly with the Z2.

    I have no clue how and why it happened, but I wanted to rule everything out and connected and connected my Denon SC 3900s to the mixer with the Traktor Timecode CDs and all of a sudden there the option for the timecode wasnt greyed out anymore and now both things are working. This was such a frustrating experience and I wish I could point my finger at it, why its working now.

    Just to be on the safe side, since it says on the Pioneer website that Traktor Pro 3 is supported, I installed it as well, but no result as in Traktor 4 unfortunately… What am I missing here? ;-(

    Looks correct.

    When you play any kind of vinyl, this stays empty?

    Hi Carlos,

    just checked, I can play a record or the timecode signal, but sound only comes through when I switch to Phono on the DJM 450, the moment I go back to USB the meter stops.

    What firmware version on the DJM are you running?

    You can see it in the [About] page of the DJM util you used before.

    I forgot the mention that its working fine with Virtual DJ, so it seems like nothing is wrong with the settings in the DJM driver.

    I tried to use the Line Output instead of Phono on the turntables as well, rest of the settings accordingly. Only thing I havent tried yet is the Traktor CDs, but I dont want to use them anyways. Feel kinda lost atm…

    As far as I know Pioneer are some ding dongs at block the phono signal until ~verified~ software does a handshake. And vDJ and Traktor should do it.

    Can you start vDJs, and then Traktor without closing vDJ, just to see if that makes it work?

    Verified software… Should I install Rekordbox for that matter?

    Whenever I open Traktor with VDJ running and the DJM-45ß ASIO (ASIO) driver is already set, it says Please connect and select an audio device at the bottom of the preferences menu.

    The system even crashed with one try.

    I tried to run Traktor while Rekordbox is running and it just closes itself.

    One thing I noticed, when I turn off RB or VDJ I always have to set the left channel of Deck 1 again in the External Mixer settings. I have no clue if that means anything.

    But neither VDJ or RB running fixed the DVS problem.

    Rekordbox wont start either, when Traktor is already running, they must hate each other badly ^^

    When RB is open the Control Tone options in the driver utility arent greyed out anymore. Doesnt seem to matter? At least not with VDJ.

    I would have expected the control tone options to be available with Traktor open (And virtual DJ).

    I don't know. Maybe contact Pioneer support.

    Youre right, its there in VDJ as well, its just greyed out in Traktor… Maybe I will try to reinstall Traktor, but since Traktor 3 isnt working either, I dont itll help…
