Pioneer PLX-CRSS12 - HID Support

Does anyone know if there’s native support for the PLX-CRSS12 and the new Traktor? I only saw 2 posts in this community from Feb. with one saying there’s a midi-map file on the Pioneer website, which I’ll look for.

I’d love to be able to use these turntables just like I use them with Serato but with the updated Traktor!

The PLX-CRSS12 send a simple DVS signal and are not yet HID compatible. Perhaps a firmware update will bring this in the future, if it is technically possible. But I don't think so.

The existing DVS signal only supports Serato, Rekordbox and very probably djay Pro, or other software that uses the 1 kHz control tone.

I have created my own Traktor mapping for it. I have not heard of there being a factory mapping to download from Pioneer. I don't think that is the case either. They are relatively easy to map yourself. I only had problems with the on and off states. So you sometimes have to do without the LED feedback on the players, or I just couldn't figure out how to get around it myself.

    1. yes
    2. yes, I already wrote that and did it...
    3. Good point, I would recommend that too. Buy a used RP 8000 and use the official factory mapping from Reloop for Traktor or buy a new RP 8000 MKII and map it yourself. With both you can add MWM Phase on top and you'll have the same result for half the price of a CRSS12.

Edit: By the way, there is a firmware update that officially enables MIDI for other devices. See here:

If I understood that device correctly, it's up to Pioneer to add a traktor control tone to the device.

Like owner said, the buttons are probably midi and you can map it yourself.

If you just need a turntable with some midi buttons take a look at the RP-8000 mk2.
