Komplete 14 Upgrade Problem

I had Komplete Ultimate 12 running on an older Mac without any issues. Then I bought a new iMac M3 running Sonoma and tried to install the Ultimate 12 on it. I received the error message asking me to change security settings for the daemon etc., which I did. But I am still getting errors for many of the files. Since not all of the Ultimate 12 is compatible with M3 / Sonoma, I just bought the Komplete Ultimate 14 upgrade from Sweetwater. When I put in the serial #, it says I'm missing the base. Please help… thanks!

Have you granted full disk access to Native Access an the Deamon?

If we are looking on Komplete 14 one thing is sure: It is no Sonoma and no M3 issue. It is an licence or account issue. I just have the "small" Komplete 14 Standard bundle but that installs and runs on my MacBook Pro M3 Max with Sonoma without any issues. If you get a message that the base product is missing for your upgrade to 14, there are three possibilities:

1.) You bought the wrong upgrade (Komplete 14 Standard to Ultimate instead of Ultimate 12 to Ultimate 14)

2.) You really haven't a necessary base product registered.

3.) Least probable: Really an error, in that case contact NI support. They have to sort it out.

In regard to Komplete 12 it could be a Sonoma issue as some components may be not compatible. But at least some should install an your new Mac.

It sounds like you've got the wrong version of the upgrade/update. Your best best is to contact support via this link and explain the problem as they're the only people who can access your account - Purchase & Account – Native Instruments (native-instruments.com) They'll be able to find what the problem is and how to resolve it.

thanks but unfortunately this didn't help me. I used the Sweetwater purchasing assistant to figure out which upgrade to buy and I'm pretty sure it's correct (going from 12 to 14 using the Komplete ultimate upgrade). The link you sent me to just directs me to a few different faqs without actually having support available to discuss my specific situation. I did the daemon security access. I can't install the Komplete 12 on my computer for many of the products despite doing the daemon thing, keeps failing. I have the Komplete 12 hard drive with my original software on it. I have the new serial number to upgrade. Any other suggestions? Thanks for your time!

    I'm concerned that it's an M3 or a Sonoma issue…

To upgrade from K12U to K14U you need K14U Update. Upgrade is used to get higher thier of Komplete, for example Standard to Ultimate, Select to Ultimate and so on.
