General Concern for one of my all time favorite companies

Hi Everyone,

I'm new around these parts but fall right in line with you all. Been a NI user since I bought Battery and Vokator. Good Days.

I feel the need to just say I'm concerned about the current trajectory of the company. Sure I have no clue about profits being made, but the general instability and bugginess in the products as of late (being the last couple years) considering all of the amazing options out there for audio software has me wide eyed. We all love what this company has helped us do, but we're becoming weary, and that's clear by these forums.

I write this as more of a plea than anything to @Jeremy_NI , @Simon_NI , @Kaiwan_NI - I haven't interacted with any of you, but the issues with Native access around adding previous libraries, the terrible handling of our projects ability to keep Kontakt functioning forward from year to year hurts. Many of us feel thrown under a bus that just keeps churning out upgrade offers and looking to charge us more when all we want and hope for when we buy that upgrade is software that works better than the previous version, but you seem to keep our issues inherent for the sake of that hot new PRISM kit with 14 drum samples in it instead of fixing broken software. How many of your corporate team are musicians these days?

I just upgraded my system and also upgraded to a new level of Komplete/NA only to feel severely let down with how I have been musically hobbled since the upgrades. Thank god the world is now so full of your competitors for all of us musicians, because it's starting to feel like you lost the heart, and maybe we just call it Naive Instruments, because that's what you must expect we dedicated users are.

None of the NI people you have referenced here will have any authority to change the direction or behavior of the company, which is owned now by a venture capital company and not the two original founders or their families.

It has already been a full week since your "let's beat Native Instruments over the head AGAIN…" post, and nobody has responded but me. So here's my advice.

    1. Everybody here already understands your frustration. The horse is quite dead, you can stop beating it now.
    2. It is way NOT COOL to insult Native Instruments by claiming that no musicians work for the company. You might think you have the right to level such an accusation, but then that just shows your own ignorance. You would have known that NI is full of musicians if you would let yourself assimilate and become part of this community. And it's not too late for that.
    3. We'll get better results if we can focus our "can do" attitude on something that can or should be fixed. Believe me, we regularly take the NI people to the woodshed and we make them pick out their own switch. Okay, not really. But we do hold them to account.
    4. We already know that NI is virtually the Eye of Sauron. But there are tens of thousands of people already successfully making music with Komplete plugins and libraries. Let's try to focus on adding you to the list, okay?

So is there anything real and tangible that we can try to help you with?
