What can I do to make Jack Audio recognize my Xone K2 audio interface?

Hi:

System: Windows 10 - Xone K2 - Traktor 4 - Ableton 11

Hi,.

I've been trying to send audio from Traktor to Ableton for 2 years using Jack Audio in order to record my DJ sets and stream.

Although I've made progress since I can send audio from Traktor and receive audio and record audio in Ableton, I still have problems, for example Jack Audio doesn't recognize Xone K2 (although it does recognize Asio4all V2), at the same time Traktor's volume faders get stuck and other details don't work well on the system.

What should I modify in the Jack Audio panel options so that it recognizes the Xone K2.

Any ideas or suggestions about this issue. I would really appreciate your help.

Ok and can I send something different to it so 1-2 is back out and 3-4 is ho output? Then @ramonihm don't need another interface, we just would have the HP output get to work. I guess it's now just a question of asio4all and set it correctly, so you see 2 channels stereo out and they go to the K2. If you open the settings window of asio4all you click on a wrench sign, then you can set your inputs and outputs active or not.

You simply enable the k2 interface here, and then you should have 2 stereo outputs, the ones from the k2. And of course set an output for monitoring in traktor settings.

😂 how could I oversee this, I was looking at some pictures and couldn't see a headphone out - but good that you corrected it, so the op doesn't need another interface, I only don't understand why it's not working without asio4all with jacked.

Ask A&H. The K2 is minimal in so many regards. I wish they would develop a Mk2 with a few comfort upgrades.

Strange - as far as I know you have there all virtual and hardware ins and outs, then you can connect them here and see that with wires between them

Hi Uwe... Thank you for your patience…

Of course > No conections in Graph

This is the situation when I assign in the Jack Audio setup:

    Parameters: Interface > Xone K2
Advanced: Output Device: Default / Input Device: Default
Jack Audio does not connect and an error message appears

And this is when when I assign in the Jack Audio setup:

    Parameters: Interface > Default

Advanced: Output Device: ASIO4ALL / Input Device: ASIO4ALL

Ableton Live 11 receives audio and Traktor 4 sends audio and decks A and B work ok but the mixer is blocked

The K2 has only one stereo output, so you don't need to route 3-4, you can't pre listen anyway. But in general your setup seems ricgt to me, only the audio through ableton (or OBS) is not necessary, you can route audio from traktor to ableton and directly from traktor to the output, so you don't add the latency of ableton on top. Do you have any other audio interface and don't you need the monitor function to pre listen your tracks?

P.S. you have to set the audio mode to internal in traktor settings!!!! And send master to ableton and to the output.

    Hi Uwe.

My system seems to be working better thanks to your help. Using Traktor Output Routing > Internal, sending Master (1 and 2) to Ableton and sending audio from Traktor to the System Playback in Jack Router as you said.
No I don’t have another Audio Interface. Normally, I use the K2 as Audio Interface.

Cool... everything is working better, I'm just seeing the following in Traktor and Ableton:

The cue monitor (prelisten) on each Tracktor deck or Ableton track doesn't work.

    • The front headphone output on the K2 doesn't receive audio
    • There is no audio output to my external speakers (through the K2) but there is audio output in the internal speakers on my laptop.

For now I can record my DJ sessions at home in Ableton with out problem and using the headphone output on my laptop for monitoring, maybe buying another additional Audio Interface in the future I can monitor more easily.

    Audio Interface
The Xone:K2 has an internal four-channel16-bit soundcard that can operate at 44.1 and 48kHz. All
four channels run from the PC to the Xone:K2 and are configured as follows (the labelling is from the
    perspective of a DAW):
Soundcard Output 1 - Headphones Left
Soundcard Output 2 - Headphones Right
Soundcard Output 3 - Master Out Left
Soundcard Output 4 - Master Out Right

This is from the MANUAL on page 5. Page 22+ has some setup examples.
