Kontrol S4 MK3 tempo slider not replicating software
I've just upgraded from an S3 to the S4 MK3, and I need to know whether my unit is faulty - mainly the right deck.
Firstly the right deck tempo slider doesn't replicate the slider position in the software. The +0.0 centre point in software, is about a cm above the centre line on the mixer. The left deck is fine.
I've tried all the reset methods suggested in support - shift+master etc.
Secondly, when backspinning on the right deck, it produces a very short and weak back spin. (Jog tension is low). The left deck is fine.
Any suggestions to fix these issues?

Do you mean shift + tempo slider?
That is how you move the hardware slider without it affecting the pitch in software. It's called relative mode and is is rad once you get the hang of it.
But of course you can also switch to absolute mode in the settings.

I followed the advice in the S3 mk2 NI manual, but the slider is still +0.6 from centre to get the neutral bpm of +/-0.0
