Importing stemed files into Ableton Live

I have been trying to import stemed files into Ableton Live. Ableton doesn't seem to be able to use the files. I noticed that the stem files are saved in a MP4 format. I am not sure what I am doing wrong but I noticed that Traktor Pro 4 takes exclusive control of my sound card and will not let any other audio play when it is open. I have looked at settings in Traktor but do not see any way for it to share the resources. I must be missing something. any help would be much appreciated.

Also, about your sound card, if you're using the ASIO driver of the card or ASIO4ALL in any other program it will give you trouble with other programs using the WDM version of the driver. Traktor usually has WASAPI shared drivers for every device, as well as exclusive mode versions.
You can have the shared driver in Traktor's output, a DirectX driver in Ableton as well as any browser etc concurrently without problem. The exclusive driver or an ASIO version will lock the device to that program. I'm pretty sure that you'll find a combo that works unless your sound card has messy drivers. As a last resort, you can head to Control Panel > Sound > (Your soundcard) > Advanced, and untick the option to allow applications to take exclusive control of the device.
