What are my soundcard options for DVS on modern Mac OS15+
I recently updated my old Mac from a Mac running OS15 which has resulted in my Audio 8 sound card no longer being compliant. I have two 1210's and XDJ XZ so the new mixer is out the question. Audio 6/10 are very hard to come by in the UK so would like to explore other options.
I would like to still use TP3 or TP4 for DVS as it is elite above other software, but i am concerned about purchasing expesive equipment for it to be obsolete soon. So the questions i have are:
What options do I have for sound cards to facilitate DVS mode?
Does the XDJ XZ work as a sound card? if so, how do I get TP3 to recognise this?

As Traktor Audio 6 and 10 are discontinued they are only available used. Over in reverb.com NI sells Traktor Audio 6 as certified refurbished. They ship to UK.
The only options available new at the time being are Pioneer DJ Interface 2 and Reloop Flux as far as I know.
Don‘t know about XDJ-XZ. Usually it should work with Traktor if your Mac recognizes it. Maybe you need drivers from Pioneer if it isn‘t class compliant.

When you select the XDJ-XZ as an audio device in Traktor, how does the drop down menu look like in the input routing tap?
In addition to what everyone else said here and on reddit, you can also use a mixer that has a build in sound card like most modern DJM and Xone 23c / 43C / 96.

If i select it, I can route inputs it appears as:
XDJ-XZ in 0
XDJ-XZ in 1…
and keeps going until 7, but its a 4 channel so not sure how that works. Tried all inputs and it doesnt calibrate still.
I have a £2000+ all in one, no chance of a new mixer unfortunately 🤣0 -
I think the Reloop Flux is the only current DVS audio interface.
Your XZ can do it too, according to the setup guide for VirtualDJ.

You've installed the audio driver, right? https://www.pioneerdj.com/en/support/software/all-in-one-system/xdj-xz/

Yes I have installed the driver. Not sure how i would set it up as the below link doesnt show the XZ as compatible.

That's just a list of hardware they've certified (tried and tested). If you read the page, it says you should be able to use others not on that list.
Is this any use?

I can't get it to format as a link.

For DVS? The audio set up looks completely different.

Yes, for DVS. I'm just using the VDJ manuals as a reference for what certain hardware is capable of i.e if VDJ says the XZ can be set up for timecode, then it can be set up for time code.

Yes, from 0 to 7, that are 8 channels. I that is 4 stereo inputs.
Map them all, put something through phono and see what channels get a signal.
Not sure if you have to press anything on the unit to activate the phono pre amp.

Any Update? @Krux

If i have the inputs set to 4 & 5 (Only channels that pick up sound) a signal is received, but It doesnt seem to work and will not calibrate poperly. The tune can play but not properly and appears to say 'Low Signal' or 'Right Channel Missing'.
This however seems strange as it worked fine prior to update and i still play and record vinyl on it, with no disparty between the R/L channels.
