    Hey Guys,

Just wanted to provide you with this update:

It was a miracle because it absolutely looked impossible. But for those of you out there who have not been able to update your S61 or S88 to the newest firmware, see if this will work for you. I have not seen this posted anywhere else and the instructions were sent to me by Native Instruments themselves.

The two words to remember are Power Cycle:

    1. Power Cycle - Turn the MK3 on and off five times within 10 seconds to put it into Recovery Mode.
    2. Follow these steps here: https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/14268429916317-How-to-Update-the-Firmware-of-Your-Kontrol-S-Series-MK3

That is what worked for me. I didn't disconnect other USB devices and left the MK3 plugged into my USB hub, but I did change my Power/Sleep settings to Never.

Something else I want to point out: After it says it has successfully updated, it will go try to reboot. For me, it got to a point where it said it was taking longer than normal to reboot and asked me if I wanted to retry, I clicked on ok/yes and then turned the MK3 on and off. You may or may not have to do this, but I did want to mention it.

God Bless you guys. Keep making music.

    JLA
