Latency issues with TP4 :(

I'm having crazy latency issues with TP4 :( Weirdly, LatencyMon picks up nothing.

I have 64 gigs of ram and more than enough space on my HD running Windows 11, i5 processor. I am playing tracks that live on my laptop, and I generally don't have anything else open when I'm in there playing around.

I can't create STEMS in the background without latency. Unfortunately I can't even MIX without latency at this point. Did not have this problem with TP3. Anyone else encountering this? Really don't have the money to spend on a new laptop :/

    What do you mean by "Latency issues"?

    Every command is delayed? Or sound distortions?

    And if you create STEMS before your gig, do you still have latency problems in Live?

    Creating STEMS requires extreme CPU power and is not recommended for live operation at this time.

    I also have sound destortion when I try to create stems, during live session. Anyway for my system this process is to much.

    @lord-carlos sound distortion, skips, etc.

    @Heisenberg (me wondering why it's advertised then lol)

    The latency isn't as bad when I create the STEMS beforehand,

    try turning off - overwrite tags everytime in the system file settings, I managed to get a load of speed out of that hack, boots up a bit quicker and closes down cleaner

    I can't tell you why it is advertised like this, but it definitely requires the fastest CPUs you can find and there too it has a strong impact if you read the reports in the forum.

    At this point in time, it is best to carry out the process beforehand; there may be further improvements at a later date, but unfortunately there is no longer a public roadmap.

    Enabling Multicore-Support in preferences has helped me a lot in decreasing CPU Load in TP4 and reducing the latency from 256 to 512 also.

    As next I will get to try the tip from @dbarob - thanks for that!
