Native Resolume Arena Integration like with Denon DJ and Pioneer

Hey guys,

As a former Traktor User for more than 10 years, I switched to Denon DJ last year. Now I see, that NI really tries to push Traktor back in the game, but there is one feature, which I really miss in Traktor. It`s a native integration to Resolume. I know, there is way to connect it with Ableton Link, but it`s not nearly the same, like you can connect it with Denon DJ or Pioneer Gear.

Resolume gets all the information about the Tracks from each Player and also the information from the Mixer (Volume Fader as Opacity Fader in Resolume). That means, your are able to map Tracks from the player to Clips in Resolume.

We use this feature a lot and I really don't want to miss it in the future. So I would really like to see that in future releases. I think, this might be pretty important for these DJs, who play with Screens behind them, etc.

Here is an explantion, how it looks like:

Best,
Mike

also the information from the Mixer (Volume Fader as Opacity Fader in Resolume).

That should already be possible with traktor no? Map "Volume Adjust" out to a network midi device.

Never done that myself, but that is how I assume it works.

all the information about the Tracks from each Player

I don't know what exactly you need, this 3rd party API has some deck information. Someone made a video player with it that gets the right video to the right track with the track.content.file_path parameter.

There is a difference in the way like it integrates with each other. The DJ and VJ can use different Laptops, which are getting the information via Network. Resolume gets all the information via Pioneer or Denon Protocols. I am not sure, if the Traktor APIs covers up all the information here.

Resolume knows the Songs with Artist, Title, ID, Length, the actual timecode, etc. And the fader level from the mixer also.

Perhaps the API already covers up all these features, so that I just need to ask the Resolume Team for this kind of integration.

Oh, resolume also has an API: https://resolume.com/docs/restapi/#/

Fancy. One could code something that sits between Traktor and Resolume.

I agree, this is something that shouldn't be SO hard to implement.

Even if it's not perfect, just being able to trigger clips after loading tracks, and have them somewhat synced, would be nice…
