Is there anyway to record the MIDI notes from pattern switches?
If i have a number of patterns in one particular group, and I'm switching between patterns to make a more complex loop, is there anyway to capture those MIDI notes either in my DAW (Protools) or possibly record that 'performance' into another pattern??
It would be so hard/complex to program what I can easily accomplish by 'performing' i.e switching in between patterns to make a more complex pattern, but still having it in MIDI format for further massaging. Any ideas??
Thank you kindly 🙏

That's an interesting question. I know that program changes can be selected as a midi feature for control of presets and different parameters within Controller Editor and Komplete Kontrol. I've never tried program changes on the arp settings, I don't even know if that's possible? Worth a shot to try?! Have you tried using the "Lock" feature and then comping the channel's midi notes into the same lane, or keeping the channels separate and then muting areas using the clip functions?
Really good question though, some great education will come out of this being answered. Sorry I wasn't able to help more!

You can do this if you run Maschine as a plugin in another DAW

thanks Maxray, I'm relatively new to this piece of hardware, so I'm still wrapping my head around some of the more advanced features. I'm going to delve into Clips and Lock states and see what I come up with. I appreciate the response :)

Hi tetsuneko,
When I load Maschine Mk3 as a plug-in in Protools, the only way I'm able to record MIDI data onto the instrument track is via Maschine's MIDI mode. And when I'm in MIDI mode (which I don't find very user-friendly), I'm unable to perform Pattern switches realtime, or play any patterns for that matter. It seems I'm only able to trigger and record pads. Unless I'm missing something… which very well may be the case 🤔

Thanks Jeremy, this is definitely a step in the right direction. Doesn't get me exactly where I wanted, but pretty close ;)
