Stem FX Sends on S4 Mk3?
Hey there NI folk.
I've upgraded to Traktor 4 Pro (FINALLY GOT STEM SEPARATION!!!!!) but where did the Stem Channel FX Send Pads go?
On my S4 mk3 with Traktor 3 Pro they worked just fine.
I am sure I could just custom map this but has anyone else made this discovery since the upgrade?

From what I know it is not possible with Traktor PRO 3 nor with TP4 it is a function that was not made available with the S4mk3
Only Volume and Filter can be controlled

I figured out I had used a QML mod I found online. I was able to use this same mod in Traktor 4. It's actually really cool, holding shift turns your lower pads into on/off switches for the FX sends, they glow bright orange when on and dim orange when off. I dont know why this feature isn't standard! Thanks for the help!
While I'm here typing I would like to take opportunity to comment that so far I think the new stem separation feature in Traktor 4 is very good quality and well worth the wait! Especially using FX on just one stem channel or duplicating the deck and scratching just the vocals over the rest of the track. Thanks NI!

Heyo!
I think by pressing in the pad below the stem pad selected, the loop knob becomes a send. Havent tried it myself yet but I think this should work with the S4

In Traktor 3 Pro, pressing the shift button would turn the lower pads into on/off switches for each individual stems FX Send. The pads were lit bright orange if the FX sends were on, and if the send was off the pad was not lit at all. After updating to Traktor Pro 4 this feature seems to be missing entirely.

Does it work on TP3 or TP4 and S4 mk3 ? where did you find it?
maybe you have to redo the procedure with each update…

That's what i thought. I was about to ask you about qml mods. 😁
Note: The mod you are using is probably missing the one thing that NI added to the basic qml template for the S4, which is the double-click feature for loading tracks. I am going to explain how to add this in my mapping thread for double-tap coding soon.

It works for Pro 3, Pro 4, and S4 mk3. The mod is from this web site here. Thanks for the love! 😗

Hello, thanks for the link !
Indeed, it's very convenient to be able to manage the sends with this mod. I don't understand why NI doesn't integrate it directly into its code. Anyway, this is the first time I'm trying a QML mod. I followed the procedure closely, but it doesn't work for me: with the modified S4MK3Stems.qml file, my controller is not recognized by the software. The screens display "Traktor" and "Kontrol S4" and that's it, just like when you turn on the controller by itself without launching Traktor. What am I doing wrong ? Should I repair the disk permissions after modifying the file ? (I'm on macOS 12)
Thanks
