What happens with PLUS?
By installing Pro 4 the PLUS subscription on Native Access changed to the status: EXPIRING on August 31st.
Since the Pro 4 was released after a Private Beta, it is normal that bugs will appear with the public distribution.
While I enjoy studying the 4, during my public outings I don't risk using the 4 which is not entirely stable.
I wonder who buys a product like S4 mk3 now, who will find software that still needs to be run in, what would they think if it crashed...
Since the Ozone Maximizer for the Pro3 is only for PLUS users, after a year of paying, after August 31st for those waiting for the Pro 4 to be stable, will you also eliminate the PLUS???
Or will it be possible to still keep it active?

Hi @Ru.DiJ after your Pro Plus expires, you won't have access to Ozone Maximizer anymore unfortunately since the feature is now part of Pro 4. Perhaps you can get a demo of Pro 4 to test how it works on your system? You can have both versions running on the same laptop.

The subscription will expire automatically after which if you want to keep the new features you will have to upgrade to 4 for a fee

Okay! So on the Mac that I use during my DJ sets, if I want to keep the Pro 3, which I'm sure is stable, will I no longer be able to use PLUS from September?
To have the plus features do I have to use a newly released software, the Pro 4, with all the problems that could arise, given that it came out of a private beta which has its limits in detecting problems?
This is a terrible idea!
We supported NI by paying PLUS, now you remove it, forcing users to switch to a version that is still unstable!
Until the Pro 4 is stable, it would be a matter of seriousness towards its customers, who have waited for years to give it the opportunity to work safely with the Pro 3, and in the meantime adapt to the 4.
It seems that we do not think about what consequences and inconveniences these choices will bring.
It would be better if those who had a PLUS subscription, purchasing the Pro 4, could continue to use the 3 with plus, even if they paid.-1 -

I've already bought the Pro 4!!!... but I don't trust myself to use it in front of an audience, because it's still new and if problems arise I'll make a bad impression!
I will use the Pro 3 which I am sure works, without Ozone unfortunately, thanks to this FANTASTIC (it's humour) idea from NI to eliminate it and leave it operational only on the Pro 4 which still has defects to correct!!
I find it unfair for those who supported the development by paying PLUS... who, in order to get what they paid for for months, waiting for NI's timing, now have to settle, waiting for the Pro 4 to work stably. For this reason, let those who want continue to be able to use PLUS on 3, at least until the initial bugs are resolved...I repeat, I have already bought the Pro 4, but as a professional, before using it publicly I want to be sure that it works completely!!
Until that moment I would like to continue using the stable Pro 3 with the PLUS, even continuing to pay!1 -
A professional DOES NOT use software with his audience, on Day One!!!
If you don't know, you do things for DJs but you're not one, because anyone knows, except the naive ones who never use the software on Day One, and even the updates are better to wait a bit before doing them, letting any problems are encountered by the unwary...
Before using it in public, a professional must be sure that the software does not cause problems, because if it doesn't work it's his fault, not NI's!-1 -
When 4.0.5 or .0.8 comes out, then maybe I will be able to use the Pro 4 in public, until then I will TESTING the Pro 4 in my studio!

Just to make it clear @Ru.DiJ
We have tested it extensively, and I had a lot of gigs with Traktor Pro 4.
For me it‘s more stable as Pro 3.
I‘m a professional DJ and I‘m also a Software Developer, and I can say for sure that for the NI team in general it was absolutely important that Traktor Pro 4 is stable.

I did a gig last night with TP4 and I can confirm it's ROCK solid. Easily less fidgety than 3 even with the new enhancements, solid work on NI's part with this release.

I think you can use Traktor Plus until December 30th

I wouldn't be surprised if the PLUS features for TP 3 will be free of charge in a little while.

I leave it to others to try their luck. To claim that the software is stable since version 0.0, any software programmer knows that it is a utopia. We will talk about it again when 0.1 - 0.2 come out with the fixes to the bugs that emerged from massive use.
I'm not the only one who thinks this way.. and I'm sorry you don't understand it.
I wasn't asking to keep the PLUS active forever, or for free. But a transitional period in which by continuing to pay, the two versions coexist. Even just to those who have paid for the PLUS for months, supporting NI in the development..1 -
You are right with not using new developed software live. BUT, TP4 is not a new software. TP4 is based on TP3 and therefore more of a big bugfix version with two new features (flexible beat grids & stem generation) and a layout overhaul.
TP4 works rock solid for me. Browser flickering is gone, subscription features are finally free now and the two new features do their job.
