Eligibility for upgrade to Traktor 4?

Hello,

First, I apologize for asking my question here; I tried contacting customer support directly, but kept being redirected elsewhere on the NI website.

I purchased Traktor 3 only two months ago (2024-05-16, according to my order history) and see that I will have to pay again to upgrade to T4. I was wondering if I was eligible for a free or heavily-discounted upgrade path to Traktor 4 since I purchased it so recently.

    You need to use browser with Cookie , Security and Extensions settings that will allow for log-in on the page for the page to work

    Scroll down to bottom of page N.I. Account Support and log in

    Then click the Contact support

    Then again scroll down and click the Contact N.I. support that shows

    Then yes , damn it ! , then you have to click the Contact N.I. support again

    1: Do you need help with the activation or installation of a product?

    NO

    2: Is your question about License Transfers / 2nd hand purchases?

    NO

    3 Do you have 2 NI accounts and want to merge them?

    NO

    4 Are you experiencing problems with your email address or password for your NI account?

    None of that

    After receiving email confirmation then please allow support up to a week to answer and if they do not respond within a week then politely update your ticket to let support know that you are still waiting for a response. Also N.I. support do not work in the weekend.

    You get a 50% discount on upgrading. A full licence is 149€ now.

    Highly doubt.

    It's sad to see just how many users have purchased hardware to unlock Traktor Pro 3 recently, YET, they have to fork out another payment for an upgrade. Ridiculous

    They should present free upgrades to users who already own certain hardware which has not been discontinued (eg. S2mk3, s3, s4mk3, x1mk3, etc....)

    In my opinion, that's alteast fair given he time frame when users purchased their recent hardware.

    if you do not want to move to traktor 4, you can use the traktor pro 3 adding the PLUS subscription if you want to test/play with the new features in version 4 (which in version 3 are added in the plus plan subscription)

    I've just submitted a support ticket and hope for a satisfactory resolution.
