Support for older controllers with Traktor Pro 4? (Specifically Kontrol S5)

The S5 has decent controls hence I haven't upgraded - I don't need jog wheels. Are native supporting it fully? Concerned as end of life / obsolete products on the Kontrol keyboard side have made me nervous about support…

    Ha yeah I mean - I'll do that. Wondering about level of integration and control. (I know, see above answer!) - but if I download it and it doesn't work, wasted the money?

    @mrjackster Over on DJ Tech Tools they write: "Something super interesting about the new release: it brings a fresh new feature to a bunch of different pieces of hardware that have been discontinued by NI. The Kontrol S8, Kontrol D2, and Kontrol S5 all show individual Stems Decks waveforms."

    Sounds like S5 works with TP4. And I see no real reason why it shouldn't.

    ADDED Built-in stem separation
    Separates any of your local tracks into drums, bass, vocals and instrumental parts in high-quality. Performing with stems is supported by S2 MK3, S4 MK3, S3, X1 MK3, D2, S8 and S5. For older Traktor controllers and for third-party controllers Stem controls can be manually added to the mappings.

    this is all Good news. Native doing good things = good PR and reputation. S5 is old - so more NI love for this.

    No I can't get the S5 to work with Trakor Pro 4. Yes it is recognized as an audio interface but the display and none of the buttons on the S5 are working. Pleae what am I doing wrong. Yes i did install the latest drivers for the S5 and updated the S5 firmware already, but still not working

    I've now purchased Traktor Pro 4 - and it works beautifully with the S5. Stems with the new stem splitting are insane. Of course it's not as slick as the later controllers - but it works seamlessly for me.

    S5 works for me as well. What's your setup (OS, Processor, etc.)?

    I see you already know the answer but I imagine it will be bliss. I'm using a pair of D2s and they have a brand new lease of life. I loved them as part of my DVS setup before TP4 - but now, they are epic once again.

    Do you have TP3 installed? Do you have the same problem with TP3?

    yes I'm now running TP3 with an S5 and 2 D2's and that works like a charm.

    But I can't get TP4 to work. ;-(

    So if anyone has THE solution, please tell me. TIA
