Why a product I paid for can't be used anymore until I pay for a new version of Kontakt

I own many virtual instruments. Never had this happen before. Before I buy Shreddage Bass and Guitar wanted to try their free versions first, from Impact Soundworks. But had to update Native Access first. Ok, no problem. After doing that, something happened to one of my other libraries. I purchased Sessions Guitarist Picked Accoustic long time ago. Well, after updating NA, I opened up Kontakt and wanted to use Picked Accoustic. When loaded, screen was white and said Demo in red. WHAT? I researched and did what NA advised when in demo mode. Still issue remained. Logged in to NA and reinstalled Picked Accoustic. Now I get a message saying that the library won't load until I update Kontakt to 7.0. I have 6.8. So in conclusion, I have to pay more to use the virtual instrument I already paid for and worked until NA update! Wow. Even though i have the full version of Kontakt, the Sessions Guitarist can use the free version of 7.0. Presume I can't have both on computer or can I? BTW.... why not have email support?

    The latest versions of a lot of the libraries need Kontakt 7 now. You can download the older versions of the libraries from here -

    Be sure not to hit the "Update All" button in Native Access once you've got things working again as it's not particularly smart and will update the libraries again.

    Thanks for the info. To be clear though, it was a reinstall, not update. Thought it downloaded the files for V6 Kontakt. Anyway, can I just download the free ver 7 for right now and use both version 6 and 7 in my DAW at the same time?

    Yep that'd work ok. Doing a reinstall will always install the latest version of the libraries so it would have downloaded the ones that need K7 rather than the original ones that worked with K6. The only way to get the older versions is from the link I posted.

    Thanks again for the fast response. Had a stupid moment. Did not realise that I qualify for a big discount to upgrade. Will just upgrade to V7. Sorry for my stupidity.
