S4 MKIII: Is there a way to reset lock the fader and not reset the tempo?

Pressing Shift aand Sync locks the tempo fader, but also resets the track's tempo. Is there a way to perform these two operations separately?

Sometimes the tempo is modified, and I want to modify it further, but the fader is already at one of its moximums. So I'd like to lock the fader without resetting the tempo, in order to move it, and then unlock it to continue affecting the tempo of the track.

******+moving the tempo fader don’t change the bpm/pitch, and allows to re center the fader.

In 'Preferences→S4 Panel' you need to set the faders to 'relative' mode. Then, using SHIFT+FADER, you can extend the range as you all described above.

There is no (standard) way to use the 'lock' function to disable the fader without also resetting tempo to +/- 0%.

Fantastic, that's what I missed. Shift + moving the fader. I'm. re-reading the manual (didn't use the Sa MKIII for a while) and didn't fint that via search in the PDF.

    Thanks!!
