Browse By Kits in Battery

edited October 2024 in Battery 4

I have a lot of expansions of drumkits that I got when i purchased the Komplete bundle (like Backyard James and the DJ Khillil drum bundle) - is there a way I can browse by bundle in Battery instead of just seeing each individual kit in a long list? This way I can go in and see the kits in Backyard jams and only use those if I wanted?

Thanks so much!

So you know the 7 categories at the top left? I'm talking about where it says 'projects' 'kits' 'sounds' 'instruments' 'loops' 'samples'….

Well if you go to instruments, and then find battery 4 in the instruments section, once you click it and it shows battery 4 is selected.. there is a clickable dropdown menu attached to the battery 4 colored pane at the top left that says all banks, if you click 'all banks' that lets you choose from all of your different expansions. Hopefully this is what you wanted.

Thank you for your response! For whatever reason, I only see Drums, Kits, Percussion, Sound Effects Vocals. How do I get instruments up there? Thanks

I know that it you buy battery, it should come with a factory library. If you own it you can download it via Native access. If that's what you've got and .. that's still all you've got, then just buy a maschine sample library from native instruments when you can and once you download it, rescan your library in machine 2, it should pop up where I told you automatically. If you already own maschine expansions and you're not seeing it, maybe the rescan is what you need or you still haven't downloaded it from native access. Let me know if you need any more help.

Oh by the way, you dont have to open battery all the way, just highlight it in the instruments section and look right at where it's name pops up, it should be red battery 4 and say battery 4, right there is where you need to be for to access your banked expansions. The machine expansions come with battery kits so if you don't have an expansion that may be your problem.

Still, you should also check native access as well and make sure you haven't missed downloading anything.

Are you using Maschine 2 software or just battery 4 standalone without the maschine 2 software? In the software it looks like this.

If you are using standalone you may be able to search for the expansion name and related kits will pop up but not you probably can't use the expansion bank feature without maschine 2 software. NI might not have given all their products the search intelligence that kontakt 7 now has.

I just tried searching the expansion name in the battery 4 standalone and im pretty sure if you just search the expansion name, its relevant content pops up.
