DESPERATE for an UPDATE/COMMUNICATION
Please forgive me if I come across as entitled, but we really need an update from NI regarding the Traktor roadmap. We were supposed to hear significant updates during Q1 and it's now July.
I've been using Traktor professionally since 2011 and it really was the best product on the market. However, I'm only a few weeks away from finally jumping ship. I've been desperate for stem separation, better hardware compatibility and new kit for years. I've been stagnant as a DJ since 2018 and other DJs are racing away with the exciting new software and hardware.
Is it realistic to see a major Traktor update before Q4 or should I accept that Pioneer and Serato are the route I should now consider?

Is it realistic to see a major Traktor update before Q4
I think so, but no one knows for sure.
See what the CPO wrote here.
Our teams are hard at work on these right now, and Traktor customers don’t have long to wait to get their hands on some highly-requested features: flexible beatgrids and stem separation.

Do you really think the software is holding you back?
You can use NuoStem to prep your tracks into stem files. You can link with Maschine or Ableton live for more of a live performance.
And yet some of the best DJs rock the crowed with turntables.

I'm hoping you're right about getting an update very soon regarding the features you mentioned.
I genuinely feel the lack of innovation with Traktor is holding me back. Yes, I could use third party software/services to create stems but this isn't how I like to play. I would much prefer to be able to use LIVE stem separation so I can be creative and responsive to the crowd in front of me. I've never been a fan of DJs that pre-plan a routine/set for a club audience.
The lack of new hardware and the poor compatibility with the latest kit is something I can overcome by moving platform – not that I want to go down this route.

In that case it might be best to switch.
VirtualDJ and if you have a mac Djay Pro have quite a lot of hardware support and are future rich. With decent and fast stem separation.
