Please don't give the information to put the scripts into the application folder / the Application itself. That doesn't fit well with updates, that doesn't fit well with the macos security.

The correct path, even written by Ableton itself is "Macintosh HD/Users/[username]/Music/Ableton/User Library/Remote Scripts"

    https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/articles/209072009-Installing-third-party-remote-scripts

    That is also update-proof.

    Thanks.

i received this error message when i tried the new scripts you posted about. Im not sure if its just because its the 12 live trial or not.

Hi, I tried the latest scripts provided in this thread with an MK3 and Ableton Live starts up correctly and lets me select the control surface. I can actually do some things like selecting/controlling volume on tracks and transport controls but that's it. Is that everything that's available for MK3?

Unfortunately this is the first time I'm trying to do this so I don't know what was possible before for the MK3 (so I don't know if this is really a problem with this update). I couldn't even find a manual equivalent to this one with instructions for MK3: https://www.native-instruments.com/fileadmin/ni_media/downloads/manuals/maschine/MASCHINE_Ableton_Live_Template_Manual_English_2016_12_09.pdf

Will there be any more updates to the script? I would really appreciate it, and I would really like to get working < < < DEV > > and < < < TRCK > > buttons working eventually. Especially in light of the discontinuation of support for mk2 from native instruments.

    Hi @Matthew_NI

The scripts in "Updated Scripts.zip" aren't working for me in either Live 11 or 12. Could you please let us know if there's a solution available?

    Thanks in advance!

I can't get the Maschine control surface to appear in Ableton 12.1.1 when using Maschine Plus in controller mode. I copied the Mk3 script to the Ableton MIDI remote scripts folder.

Has NI ever given a reason on why they refuse to provide controller templates for MK3 and M+?

@Stain X i would reach out to customer support to help diagnose and troubleshoot. They are working for most.

I didn't quite understand it, TBH. The downloadable files should contain scripts for the MK3 generation.

The M+ (in Controller Mode) never got some of the stuff that the MK3 has, there is no "DAW Control" - the one where we can see the fancy moving volume meters on the screens, looks like this:

And as far as the "Remote Script - Template" (the one that looks like MIDI Mode) There is no Controller Editor template for it for the M+ like there is for the MK3, so afaik that wont work neither?

AFAIK the only 2 MIDI Modes the M+ supports is Mackie emulation and MCU with just transport.

Could you share some light on what i said above Matt? Since the M+ in controller mode is essentially an MK3 it always felt super strange not to have "DAW Control" and the "Ableton Template".

I never actually tried looking into the python scripts but for DAW Control it could just be the handshake needs the addition of the M+ device ID, if we are lucky.
