Routing Audio and using Perform FX

I have recently purchased a Maschine Mikro MK3 and am using it with Ableton Live 11. I have followed the tutorial on the Native Instruments Support YouTube page (How to Route MASCHINE 2 Sounds to Separate Audio Tracks in Ableton Live). Followed it and it works correctly but now I am not able to use the Perform FX. I can use the pitch and notes with the touch strip, but when I try to use the Perform FX it doesn't do anything. Do I need to route it differently or does it just not work?

Perform FX only works on the Group level and when you route Pad/Sounds externally it bypasses the Group and Master.

I'm not aware of any workaround.
