Interfering signal appears when I use the internal Audio Plug-In in Maschine 2 SW
Hey everyone,
I recently noticed that when I open Maschine's internal 'audio' plugin and select 'stretch mode' as an engine, there's an interfering signal on the left channel. I've tried different versions of the Maschine software, but it appears every time. It's very subtle, so you either have to turn up the volume to notice it or export the blank audio to a new group and then normalize it to hear it. It only appears in 'stretch mode'.
I've already unplugged everything and moved to another room with my MacBook to test it out. I also changed the input source to 'none', so there is no signal going into the internal audio plugin of Maschine.
Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution? I use Maschine daily, and this issue is very disturbing. Native Instruments Team, please help!
In the screen recording below you can see, what I mean.
Operating system: M1 Max MacBook Pro, Sonoma, 64GB RAM
Thank you!

I can reproduce the issue when doing exactly on your video, when nothing is loaded in the audio module, then it's just silence and if I normalize, I also get this buzz. Not sure if this is expected behaviour but I don't understand why you would do that. Was it only to point out the issue when you are doing this when something is actually loaded in the soundslot/audio module?
I tried to load a sound in the audio module and then do the same but the sound is identical, no buzz on top, even after normalizing it.
Would you have an example with one sample loaded where it showcases the issue. Maybe you can zip a tiny project (with the sample) so we can check?

I can not replicate this on my windows system using maschine 2.18.1
- Add audio module to a sound
- there is no audio in the module
- Use the drag/drop function to 'export' the audio from the audio module into a new sound
- attempt to normalize
I get "edited sample could not be created"
Interestingly, if I record audio and drag it to a pad; I can normalize as expected. If I use maschine to turn that recording to silence; I get the same error. Can't normalize silence.
It does seem to be true silence. I can attempt to normalize in my DAW, but it's just silence.
I'm assuming this is an apple thing (mostly cuz I'm a apple hater 😉). Question:
Do macs get the same error if you attempt to turn a sample to silence and then normalize it?

hey Jeremy thanks for catching up. Try to load 4 or more groups all with the audio plugin loaded on the first sound of those groups. Then press play and turn up the volume on your console. You'll hear the buzz on the left channel just by pressing play in Maschine. It's very annoying bc in my very own template I use groups with the audio plugin loaded in case I want to record other groups with it. Sometimes I want to record the master channel as well and then it's recording the buzzing sound coming from those groups which is getting on my nerves… so I really need NI to solve this issue!! I work as a producer full time and use Maschine daily for at least 7-8h…

Could you recreate the issue in one project, zip it and post it here? this way I can try a proper repro and show it to the QA & devs.

yes I can do that
