Macbook users, screen lock/saver question

Hi all

New Mac user.

What settings do you use to stop your screen going off when your using say your Daw or Komplete Kontrol?

When I'm controlling everything from my keyboard, I've had to set the "Start Screen saver when inactive", Turn display off when inactive…." to Never

Just wanted to check that's the best way of doing it

Under energy settings, set "go to sleep" =⇒ NEVER

Thanks, currently I'm simply closing the lid at the end of the day, I presume if I set it to never sleep, I'll have to manually put it to sleep before closing the lid?
