Bug with MK2-Keyboards

Hi, there seems to be a bug with the MK2 keyboards on Windows…

Scrolling (on the keyboard) through the categories and instruments is much, much slower than it used to be under the old v. 2. 9 version.

Can you please correct this?

Also I'm missing a way to show the instrument as well as the browser on the same page as it used to be under v. 2. 9 still. Can't you at least bring this back as an optional setting?

The buttons for the user library and the little pin icon (for keeping the browser on top while going throught the instruments) are way too small. They can hardly be reached!

Thanks for improving Komplete Kontrol…

Was when I tested it, but I have also just found the whole workflow and browsing experience painfully inadequate compared to the lightning speed you can scroll through presets in KK V2. IMO there is little that was improved at all, it was changed and to some it may look more aesthetically pleasing with the new colours but it doesn't actually improve anything on how it was, only introduces an annoying layout and truncated labels/text everywhere because it doesn't fit the design. That is enough for me to say no thanks.

"I use the S88 MK II"

There is no specific need to use Komplete Kontrol 3 with a MKII series keyboard.

Supported? Yes. Required - No. Recommended? The jury is still out.

To address this issue - you might consider using KK v2.9.6 (which I use
here with my S61 MKII) - as it is much more feature complete and mature
compared with KK3 - which (in my opinion) still has plenty of rough
    edges.

    Good luck.

Yep, you have highlighted just 2 of the major complaints most of us have with the new version of KK. Things unlikely to change. It's a reason why some of us are not updating and even looking to move away from the eco system, things don't really improve, they just (very) slowly change.

Means that others of you also have this slow scrolling speed on the Mk2-keyboards? I've talked with the support and they claim that nothing is different in this scenario compared with the old version, at least on a Mac (but I'm using Windows) 🙈.

Can anyone confirm that the slow scrolling on the keyboard isn't something that only I am experiencing?

    Thank you!

Well I noted it way back last year in the Beta version, scrolling is not as fast or as smooth as V2 (on Windows) and I highly doubt that has been improved but i'm also not interested to install V3 and test, V2 just works faster and better so why change to something that still offers nothing beneficial to bother with…

Well. One thing that I like better in v. 3 is that the volume for previews now is independent from the main volume. Of course it would be even better if the user would be able to define the sound outputs, so that the preview sounds would be played on a different channel. But that's at least one thing that I would say might be better in v.3

But yeah - v. 3 isn't really good to use with everything that I criticized in my first post.

Since you say that scrolling isn't as fast or smooth in Windows. You know whether it's different on a Mac? Is the scrolling speed the same as it used to be under v. 2.9 on Macs?

    Thank you

    Udo

Ok. But on Windows it's certainly slower in the new version?

    Thanks for sharing...

Do you know that there is supposed to be a way of installing the old KK version 2 besides version 3?

It is described (in German language unfortunately but you can translate using the translation engine in your web browser) in the link below.

Unfortunately, I was unable to get this to work for Windows. Maybe there is some kind of thing that is no longer working or the article has a mistake… Do you or someone else have any idea how I could make it work? Would like to use both versions if possible (in order to see und update KK3 to check whether they improve it over time and still being able to use the old KK2 plugin)…

    Thanks for any help!
