howdy all.

we are planning on buying a 2nd hand Maschine Mk3 and seller will be supplying the Transfer Licence/ID, but does the Komplete software come with automatically, or is this something that the seller needs to provide or that we need to source ourselves?

thanks.

With a licence transfer ID you should obtain the same software package as the original owner got back when he got the Maschine. According to NI support site the original owner also retain his licence.

As Maschine comes usually with Komplete Select you should get this. It may be not the current version 14 depending on age of the controller.

It is even better than I would expect. If I sell any NI hardware they are giving a second licence package for the new owner for free. Usually I would expect to keep the licence (and the new owner needs to obtain one) or have to give up my software licence to forward it to the owner.

Great practice from NI as giving up on some licences could be complicated because upgrades und update licences may rely on it.
