Setting Samples to Automatically Que
I'm having some trouble with my Traktor Kontrol S2 MK1 (with Traktor Pro3). I'm loading various samples into the remix dex, and they play fine using the 1,2,3,4 buttons, but it would appear as though I have to hit the button again after the sample plays in order to re-que it and play it again. Thus, I end up having to hit the button twice to play the sample once. Can I set it up so that I can play the sample each time with only one press of the button.
Thanks for the help!

You can play around with the remix deck in the software. If you have advanced layout open and trigger a sample, you can afterwards adjust traits like trigger type, gain, single-shot/loop etc.
I seem to remember that the legacy code worked just as you described with single-shot + trigger type = latched. Try the other trigger type (i forgot the name), but if you use it, you have to hold the button down for the sample to play, because releasing it stops the sample.
Of course you can overmap the standard mapping for your s1. If you have some experience with mapping, this would entail adding two separate modifiers for each of your remix overlay buttons and then 4 assignments for each side's performance buttons. I think the assignment name is 'retrigger/play' for the behaviour you are looking for.

I cooked up a short mapping for you. Remove the default mapping for your S2 from the controller manager (select the mapping from the device dropdown menu, press Edit… and select Delete) and then load the appended mapping file (press Add… → Import TSI → Import other… → select the tsi file below).
This changes the function of the performance buttons in sample mode under the following conditions:
- You are not holding shift.
- The sample has the trigger type 'latched', not 'gated'.
As long as you are using one-shot samples, this will work as you want. Unfortunately it will also affect looped samples (which also use the 'load-play-mute' triple function) so you can't mute them when running and you will need to use SHIFT+Button to stop them instead. Also you will need to load samples with the mouse instead of the button.
I hope you like it. :)
Edit: Here is an alternate version, that only works on one-shot samples instead of only on latched samples, so that the mute function still works on loops. This may also keep the load function intact.
