How to change note input length in step mode on controller

Hey, I can't seem to work this out. Using the step sequencer, say it's inputting at 1/16 note per pad, but i want to change it to 1/32, I can change this in the software by choosing the rate I want at the bottom left of the piano roll, but is there a way to change this directly from the controller?

When in Step mode, hold [shift] + Grid and at the top navigation buttons choose "Step" and select the grid settings with the pads. Now the notes will go in at the selected length, but the Step windows will also change to match, so you will have to use the 6th knob to navigate the different Step pages. The lower the note increment, the more pages will appear.
