deck loading random tracks

My understanding is that the first playlist you start is the source playlist. When I pull a song to listen from outside the original playlist, a random song will be loaded, not the expected next song in the play list. How do I stop this from happening.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not aware of any "source Playlist"

Do you load with a controller from a Traktor Playlist? Or do you load it somehow from outside traktor by dragging a file onto the deck?
